Teen Summer Reading Program

Sign-Up Week: June 5 - 10

Program Runs: June 12 - July 29

Enjoy the Teen Summer Reading Program with reading, activities, and events! For the enjoyment of reading this summer, join in by using the Beanstack app or by picking up a paper Bingo sheet. 

Participants need to :

  • Complete 5 out of 24 badges on Beanstack 

                               or

  • Complete 5 tasks in a row, column, or diagonal on a paper Bingo sheet

When you have Bingo, return to the library and receive one free book, a coupon, and 1 raffle ticket to put in for our grand  prize baskets!

There is a Bonus Challenge that you can complete by July 29. This challenge is reading at least 5 of the 16 different books listed on the sheet to receive 10 extra raffle tickets for the prize baskets. For each additional book read (up to 10 total), you will receive 1 extra ticket. You have two months to complete this Bonus Challenge! Hand in the Bonus Challenge by July 29 to receive the extra raffle tickets.  

Programs

Party in the Park

Saturday, June 10 at 11 am – 1 pm

Join us for our Party in the Park as we kick off our summer programming with a GIANT INFLATABLE OBSTACLE COURSE! There will also be yard games and an opportunity to sign up for our summer reading program. Food will be available from Endter’s Sports Grill.   

Tuesday Takeovers

Ages: 10-18

June 13 at 3 pm - Candy Sushi

Discover a new twist on sushi! Put your own spin on this Japanese-style recipe using Rice Krispies treats, Swedish fish, and other candies. Registration is required. Please email Emily at edoty@hartland.lib.wi.us to register.

June 20 at 3 pm - Books Against Humanity

This fun, laugh out loud game is just like “Cards Against Humanity” card game—only with books!  You don’t even need to bring a book—we’re a library, we have tons of them. No registration required.

June 27 at 3 pm - Minute to Win It Games

Join us as we compete against friends to see who can complete “Minute to Win It” games. These simple games involve fun tasks where participants have to complete using household items in less than a minute in order to move on to the next and ultimately win prizes! No registration required.

July 11 at 3 pm - Are You Smarter Than a Librarian? Trivia Game

Test your knowledge and face off against our all-knowing Hartland librarians for a chance to win prizes! No registration required.   

July 18 at 3 pm - Fairy Garden Craft

Create a mystical, whimsical garden that is fit for a fairy. A Fairy Garden is a place for mythical fairies to dance along the flowers and protect your garden. Registration is required. Please email Emily at edoty@hartland.lib.wi.us to register.

July 25 at 3 pm - Mario Kart Tournament

Compete in a Mario Kart Tournament!! Show us your racing skills on the big screen. Registration is required, space is limited. Please email Emily at edoty@hartland.lib.wi.us to register.

Tie Dye Party

Friday, July 28 at 11 am - 1 pm

It’s our unofficial end to summer reading, so let’s have some fun! Bring a shirt, we’ll bring the rest!
