Paddling River Run | Rubber Duck Derby | Hammer-Schlagen | Craft and Vendor Sale | Refreshments | Music | Food
9:00am – 11:00am Kiwanis Bark River Bash Canoe and Kayak Run
• Casual tour starting in Centennial Park, finishing at Nixon Park
• Bring your own kayak or canoe, very limited kayaks will be available for rental
• Last drop in at 11:00am to not interfere with the Duck Derby
• Suggested donation $10 – $20, funds raised support planting of trees along the Bark River
• No Shuttle: We suggest dropping off your boat in Centennial Park then taking your vehicle to Nixon Park and either walking the Ice Age Trail back to Centennial Park (about a 30-minute walk) or arranging a ride back to Centennial Park
• Kayak/Canoe Decorating Contest – decorate your boat and/or yourself (costume)
12:00pm – 12:30pm Kiwanis Rubber Duck Derby
• Purchase tickets for the Duck Derby prior to the event at the Village Hall, Hartland Library or participating businesses. Purchase tickets on the day of the event at the Nixon Park Pavilion (by playground) from 10:00am – 11:40am Supply is limited to 1,000, so buy early! $5 each or five for $20
• Ducks race from the Covered Bridge on the Bark River Greenway (behind Senor Tomas) to Nixon Park
• Purchased ducks are awarded prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and last place (do not need to be present to win)
1:00pm – 2:00pm Second Chance Raffle
• By purchasing a duck, you will be entered for another chance to win a raffle prize (must be present to win)
10:00am – 2:00pm Nixon Park
• Craft and Vendor Sale at Nixon Park – shop at over 50 vendors!
• Kiwanis Hammer-schlagen at Nixon Park – $1 per nail
• Beer Garden provided by Endter’s
• Music provided by ‘A Little Bit of Heaven’ band
• Hartland Ice Age Trail Tour – 10:00am, guided tour from Nixon Park to Centennial Park and back
• FREE Face Painting 11am - 2pm
