Libby is run by Overdrive. This app is easier to use than Overdrive. We recommend using the Libby App! Visit LibbyApp.com to get started!
Did you know your local library has thousands of eBooks and audiobooks? You can borrow them, instantly, for free, using just the device in your hand. You can use Libby on your Apple device, Android device, or Windows Computer.
Libby's Features
- Sign in to multiple libraries, with one or more cards for each library.
- Download books and audiobooks for offline reading, or stream them to save space.
- If you prefer reading on your Kindle, Libby can send your library books to it.(U.S. libraries only.)
- All your loans and holds are consolidated on a single shelf.
- Keep track of your reading history in the Activity tab.
- Positions, bookmarks, and notes are kept in sync across your devices.

For an Apple Device
Please go to the Apple App Store and download the Libby App. Once downloaded and opened, please follow the instructions below:
- Open the app and find your library. You can search by library name, city, or zip code.
- Browse your library's collection and borrow a title. When prompted, sign in. You'll need a valid library card to complete this step, along with a password.
- Borrowed titles appear on your "Shelf" and download to the app automatically so you can read them when you're offline.
- From your "Shelf," you can:
- Tap "Start Reading" or "Start Listening" to open a title.
- Tap the cover image, then "Send to Device" to send a book to Kindle.
