We are a combination department with full-time, part-time and paid on call staffing. We are a Paramedic level service that serves the Village of Hartland and a portion of the Town of Merton.  

Our full-time staff currently run a 48/96 rotation.  Part-time staff run 12-hour shifts and are required to run one weekend 24-hour shift a month.  In 2025 we ran 1,183 calls for service.

Applicants must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and pass the fire department physical, psychological and drug screening process.

We are currently accepting applications from individuals who have completed or are near completion of firefighter 1, EMTB or Paramedic level certification.  Dual certification is preferred.
