Village Floodplain Zoning Ordinance

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Monday. August 28, 2023, at 6:30. P.M. at the Village Hall, 210 Cottonwood Ave, Hartland, WI. before the Village of Hartland Board of Trustees, to solicit comments on proposed floodplain zoning ordinance and map revisions that are required by state and federal law. These revisions govern development in mapped floodplain areas. The proposed ordinance/ map revisions are on file in the office of the Village Clerk.

The proposed regulations are intended to protect life, health and property in floodplain areas and will govern uses permitted in mapped floodplains. Activities such as dredging, filling, excavating and construction of buildings are generally allowed, but may be restricted according to which flood zone the property is in. A copy of the proposed ordinance will be on file and open for public inspection in the office of the Village Clerk for a period of two weeks prior to this Public Hearing.

All persons interested are invited to attend this hearing and be heard. Written comments may be submitted to the Village Clerk at 210 Cottonwood Ave, Hartland, WI 53029.

Zoning Map Amendment

The Hartland Village Board will conduct a Public Hearing at a meeting of the Village Board to review a Rezoning Petition for property identified as HAV0730981, HAV0730985, HAV0730986, HAV 0730987 located at 700, 701 W. Capitol Drive, for the petitioned rezoning of 45.419 acres to RM-1w/PUD Overlay & CSM. During the public hearing, comments will also be received about the proposed Planned Unit Development Agreement to ultimately allow the construction of Ten 2-story Stacked Flat direct entry Multi-Family Apartments (240 units), Three 2-story Townhome Multi-Family Apartments (27 Units), Clubhouse (approximately 5,590 SF).

Site and building plans are available for review in the Administrative Office during business hours: M-F, 7:30 am-4:30 pm. The hearing will be held at 6:30 pm in the Village of Hartland Board Room located at 210 Cottonwood Ave.

All interested parties will be heard during the scheduled Public Hearing.
